He will continue to mentor and advise the leadership team, ensuring they have the knowledge, relationships, and insight to build on Volker’s legacy.
Damien Festa has been promoted to Vice President of Contracting. “Damien’s commitment to building up our teams and communities is evident in everything he does,” said Desjarlais. With more than 25 years of experience, Damien has been a strong leader in the Underground Utilities Division, most recently as General Manager of Deep & Shallow Utilities. As Vice President, he will join the executive team, leading Volker Stevin Contracting with a focus on safety, performance and people. Damien’s market knowledge and leadership will drive the company’s performance while maintaining strong industry relationships.

As General Manager, he will be responsible for the day-to-day direction of the contracting team, focusing on bidding, executing contracts, and ensuring a commitment to safety and excellence. Matt’s dedication to teamwork and leadership will be key to delivering on the company’s vision.
“I am excited to see Mike, Damien, and Matt in their new roles,” said Desjarlais. “Combined, these three have nearly a century of experience building up communities across Calgary and southern Alberta, and I am confident their dedication, leadership and passion will create continued success for Volker Stevin. Congratulations, Mike, Damien, and Matt!”
